Green & Red Oak Lettuce

Looking to switch up your salads this week? Try South Australian grown Green and Red Oak Lettuce. Grown hydroponically, these tender, crisp lettuces are perfect for salads, sandwiches and burgers, bringing fresh flavour and vibrant colour to every meal. They’re also rich in vitamin K, vitamin A and folate (vitamin B9), with smaller amounts of vitamin C, making them a nutritious choice. Pair the two together for a colourful, fresh salad that’s as delicious as it looks.

Asparagus

Fresh, locally grown asparagus has arrived and is packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Naturally rich in nutrients, it’s also known to act as a natural diuretic, helping the body flush excess salt and fluids. Fun fact: Ever noticed a different smell after eating asparagus? That’s thanks to a natural compound called asparagusic acid, which breaks down into sulfur-containing compounds during digestion. Whether you roast, grill, steam or sauté it, asparagus has a delicious earthy, slightly sweet flavour with a tender-crisp bite. Try sautéing it with garlic, a squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper for an easy, flavour-packed side dish. Try this Stovetop Asparagus Fritatta which only takes 30 minutes to make and minimal ingredients that can be found in your fridge.
